My little girl and I have been invited twice to the media event and trial sessions of Ready, Steady, Go, Kids (RSGK) by Mommy Mundo. After going over their website, I was really looking forward to attending, knowing how Izzy loved playing and moving around. I was excited to see how our little one would do in sports and other physical activities. Sadly, we had to cancel on both occasions as I was put to bed rest by our OB.
Ready, Steady, Go, Kids (RSGK) is a multi-sport and excercise program from Australia. Appropriate for 2.5 to 7 year olds.
When hubby told me and asked if I want to bring Izzy to RSGK’s trial session in The City Club – I grabbed the opportunity. She always like playing with older kids. So even if she’s only 2, I am confident she can catch up with the other kids.
Our little one loved it! At 2 years of age, she was able to follow all instructions. Mind you – the other kids are much older than her. She’s the smallest in that session too. I am one very proud momma when I saw she was listening intently to what the trainers were saying, observing the other older kids and following instructions. I can’t stop beaming with joy!
She enjoyed it so much that when she woke up the next day after the trial session, her first words were “Ready, Steady, Go Kids!”
Here are some of the benefits of RSGK’s programs

“Ready Steady Go Kids seeks to promote a healthy lifestyle, develop a lifelong passion for physical activity and sport, decrease childhood obesity, increase confidence and prepare children for participation in school and the broader community.
Delivering a combination of physical and emotional benefits, the Ready Steady Go Kids programme is designed to build confidence and self-esteem, providing a platform of knowledge and boosting school readiness skills.
Physio designed programme
Each class is taught by qualified trainers with early childhood and coaching experience. All trainers have a Level 1 Coaching qualification from Australia. Additionally, there is always at least one trainer who is trained in First Aid for pre-schoolers.
Confidence and competence
The Ready Steady Go Kids programme is designed to develop gross and fine motor skills and enhance hand-eye and foot-eye coordination with the goal of being able to tackle tasks independently.
Introduction to ‘life skills’
Ready Steady Go Kids introduces the concept of ‘sportsmanship through encouraging participants to take turns, play by the rules, provide encouragement and cooperate with peers.
Boosting school readiness
The Ready Steady Go Kids programme incorporates skills such as concentration, listening, following directions and basic concepts of colours, numbers and shapes.
Encouraging a healthy lifestyle
Introducing extracurricular sports to preschoolers helps to promote a ‘lifelong love for sports and exercise’. At preschool age we can shape attitudes for a lifetime.
Platform of knowledge
Participants will leave the programme with a basic understanding of a variety of sports to build upon when school begins.
